This furniture delivery service is specifically for buyers purchasing second-hand items from Sayonara Sales, Mottainai Japan, Facebook Marketplace, Tokyo Notice Board, Craigslist Tokyo, or similar platforms.

How Our Sayonara Sale Delivery Works
⚠️ Important: You Must Be at the Seller's Location
For all deliveries, the buyer (you) must come to the seller's apartment to meet our driver at the time of pick-up. Here's why:
- Damage verification: Second-hand items from Sayonara Sales may have scratches or wear. If you don't see the item at the seller's location before we move it, there's no way to know whether any damage existed before transport — or happened during the move. This protects both you and us.
- Item confirmation: You confirm in person that the items match what you purchased online. We cannot accept responsibility for disputes between buyer and seller.
- No surprises: Sellers sometimes try to add extra items on the day. If you're present, you can decide on the spot — and we can give you an accurate price for any additions.
If the seller is a close friend, colleague, or family member and you have already seen the items in person, a different arrangement may be possible — we'll discuss this when you contact us.
Service Options
You help the driver load and unload
You meet our driver at the seller's location, inspect the items, and help carry them to the truck together. You then ride in the truck with the driver to your apartment and help unload.
- Best for: small to medium items (desk, shelf, small fridge, boxes)
- One passenger only — our truck seats 2 (driver + you)
- You must be physically able to lift heavy furniture such as a fridge or sofa together with the driver
Our team handles all heavy lifting — you just need to be present
Our driver and helper handle all the carrying. You still must come to the seller's location to inspect the items before we load them, but you do not need to carry anything yourself.
- Best for: heavy or large items (refrigerator, washing machine, sofa, bed frame)
- Recommended if you cannot lift heavy furniture
- You must be present at the seller's location for item inspection
📌 Service 2 — How does it work if I can't ride in the truck?
Our truck seats 2 people (driver + helper), so you cannot ride along. Here's the process:
- You come to the seller's location and inspect the items
- While our team loads the truck, you head to your apartment by train or taxi
- You meet us at your apartment when we arrive
⚠️ If you are not at your apartment when we arrive, we will wait up to 30 minutes at no charge. After 30 minutes, an additional fee of ¥3,000 per 30 minutes will apply. Please plan your travel time accordingly.
If you are a couple, one person can meet the driver at the seller's location while the other waits at your apartment. Just let us know when requesting your quote.
Delivery Rules — Please Read Before Requesting a Quote
- ✓ The buyer (person receiving the item) must contact THH and pay the delivery fee
- ✓ The buyer must be present at the seller's location at the time of pick-up
- ✓ The buyer must be present at their own apartment at the time of delivery
- ✓ Service 1: you help the driver carry items to and from the truck — one passenger only
- ✓ Service 2: our team carries everything, but you must still be present at both locations for inspection
- ✓ Items must match the list provided in your quote request — additional items require additional fees
- ✗ We do not deliver to addresses outside our service area (see below)
- ✗ We do not accept quote requests from sellers on behalf of buyers (see note below)
- ✗ We are not responsible for the condition of second-hand items — always inspect before we load

Delivery Pricing
Every Sayonara Sale delivery is different, so we provide personalized quotes based on:
- Seller's location and your location (distance between the two addresses)
- Floor level and elevator availability at both addresses
- Size, weight, and number of items
- Service type (Service 1 or Service 2)
Starting from ¥9,800
(Service 1, short distance, small items, ground floor)
Weekend and national holiday surcharge: +¥2,000
Fuel cost and basic insurance: included
📢 Are You a Seller?
If you are selling furniture or appliances and want to arrange delivery for your buyer, please ask your buyer to contact us directly.
Why?
- Save your time — you won't have to act as a go-between
- Protect yourself financially — you won't be held responsible for the delivery fee if the buyer changes their mind after the items are delivered
- Smoother process — we communicate directly with the person paying, so there's no miscommunication about items, timing, or cost
We believe that if the buyer is truly interested in your items, contacting us directly shouldn't be an issue.
Exception: If you are a seller and you are paying the delivery fee yourself (for example, sending furniture to a friend before you leave Japan), you are welcome to contact us directly.
